The Team

We have a proven track record of professional conduct and are very aware of and capable of working within an integration environment. We are very effective in integrating with the permanent staff at the business and understand the issue of creating a maintainable system that can be handed over to the permanent staff. Following is a short summary of our core employees.

Mr. Jaco Uys: Obtained a B. Eng (Hons) degree from the University of Stellenbosch. He started his career in the software industry at Hemisphere Technologies in 2000. Whilst working for Hemisphere he was involved in several projects focusing on enterprise system development and system integration. In March 2002 he started a project part time, which was then further developed in partnership with Hemisphere. In January 2004 he left Hemisphere and focused full time on JDO Genie, until it was bought by Versant, a US/German based company. Since then he has been involved in the design and development of various enterprise solutions, of which the most recent is a Customs and Excise system for Luxemburg Customs. In June 2007 he formed a partnership with Mr. M. Coetzee, in starting a professional services company called XI Business Information System. Mr. Uys has 10 years enterprise development and integration experience with a focus on server side systems and database / model architectures.

Mr. Manie Coetzee: Started his career at Medsolve in May 1998, working on a medical practice management solution. In 2000, he joined Hemisphere Technologies, a development house focusing on professional services. Projects included work on retail applications as well as distance learning back-office software and system integration. In 2006, he left Hemisphere Technologies and started contracting to various companies, which included doing work on software integration and development of customs software for Luxembourg. In April 2007 he formed a partnership with Mr. J. Uys, in starting a professional services company called XI Business Information Systems. Mr. M. Coetzee has 10 years of enterprise development and integration experience, with a focus on web applications and server side systems.

Mrs. Jeannette Coetzee: Obtained a BComm degree from the University of Port Elizabeth (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University). She started her career in July 1998 as an accountant in the monthly department of Van der Westhuizen & Andersen Chartered accountants (now Alliott Andersen Nell Inc). She was promoted to manager of this department in January 1999, responsible for 6 - 7 staff members. She was also responsible for the accounting function of a few major clients, including a non-profit organization formed by the oil companies BP, Engen, Castrol, Fuchs, and Total; and a marine company with a vessel compliment of 6-8 vessels, a motor vehicle fleet of 40 vehicles, and branches in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. She also performed all internal accounting functions for debtors and creditors and prepared the annual budget, presenting both the management accounts and budget to the board of directors while sitting in most of the board meetings. She has 10 years experience in the accounting field and makes sure that the XIB accounts runs as clockwork.
